Blocking a guest from booking

How can I block a guest from booking again?  This is her second time booking and is looking for every little thing wrong, Complaining of a stain on a sheet the size of a pin head. Complaining about the TV, complaining about a very tiny hair she found on the floor.

Hi @Steven-and-Monica0

Go to your past reservations in your Airbnb account. Leave a review for your guest (if you haven’t already). At the end of the review process, Airbnb will ask:

“Would you host [guest name] again?  Then select” No” this tells Airbnb that you don’t want them re-booked with you.

Hello @Patricia2526 @Steven-and-Monica0

Just thought I should mention that the question "would you host this guest again" has been replaced by "would you recommend this guest to other hosts"

I've seen people say you can block someone if you go to the message thread and click "Report" there. Probably worth a try @Steven-and-Monica0

The only way to block a guest that I am aware of is to go to the message thread with the guest and click the 3 dots next to the message and "report this message". Then you have to choose from one of the options Airbnb provides, even if it doesn't actually match the situation.

As far as I know 🤔, choosing "would not recommend to other Hosts" at the end of the review doesn't really do anything and doesn't block the guest from booking your property again.

Just curious...what type of reviews did the person have?

Are you using Instant Book? If so, I recommend turning that OFF

Be sure to write an honest review of the guest but keep the emotion out of it. Don't be too specific. Something generic to prevent Airbnb from removing the review. I would mark them down for Communication for sure.
