Broken calling function on Airbnb app

Trying to contact a guest that hasn’t answered messages in app. Calling now goes through the App instead and that is “busy” for hours now. 

why can’t we just call??

called support and they sent me

a message that they messaged, which is what the guest is not answering. 

feeling like Airbnb is getting in the way of serving the guest well

any ideas for solutions?
