Definitely a scam. This is not how the booking and payment system works with Airbnb. You pay Airbnb directly as part of the booking process and there is no deposit nor viewings. The host gets paid by Airbnb once the guest has checked in and not before. You never pay any portion of the booking costs directly to the host, in cash, to a bank account etc.
