Host Question about potential customer request

Hi all,

Received an inquiry about a person wanting to utilize our tiny house for the high speed wifi. They apparently live in a rural area and need a reliable internet service (we are an hour from this person). He also is not needing to spend the night but only use it during the day for two different days this week. Anyone ran across a request like this? Sounds sketchy but we are new to hosting.

Travis288 Say No.   I had a person book my three bed house for one but he had his shift worker mates come in to sleep during the day and since they did not spend the night ,he thought they should not be paid for, go figure..... H

Sounds like he’s trying to get away w commercial filming.

ask him what business he is in first. I don’t prefer 1 night rentals at all.

Good point. He wants to use it two different days this week. Can you elaborate on what you mean by commercial filming. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

also he could be using your internet to download massive amounts of stuff. Ask your Wi Fi provider , as you will be responsible for breeches of copyright etcetera. They will give you a better update of what they are up to ,but they are up to something... H

@Travis288   They can go to a public location that offers WiFi.  Like a library.

Commercial filming may be pornography or a self-styled online influencer who wants to live-stream their video life.
