My daughter is in the hospital with second degree burn and has to cancel her trip. They have a no cancelation policy. Could she get refund with a hospital letter

It depends on the host if some refund can be provided. A host is not obliged to it when the cancellation policy shows: no refund.

If there is a travel insurance taken , you should check that policy for any refund

If your daughter booked under a cancellation policy that doesn't allow for a refund, she can make a claim on her travel insurance.
