Cancellation policy

I would like Airbnb to include a cancellation policy that says if the guest cancels and then someone else books the airbnb  for the cancelled  dates, the first guest gets his/her money back for as many days as the new guest is staying that overlaps with the dates they cancelled. 

As a person that stays at Airbnbs and has a great deal of potential for cancelling due to circumstances beyond my control, I would appreciate something like that. 

As a host I would be happy the first guests didn't get penalized because something came up suddenly.

@Felicia193 we would always offer this to our guests but I agree it would be good (though maybe hard) to make this part of ALL cancellation policies.

A most fair suggestion. I would think most hosts would do just that, refund in full if they re-rent a cancellation, though perhaps would be very tricky to follow by Airbnb. Maybe not.
