Many hosts focus on pricing, photos and location but in my experience, guest communication plays an even bigger role in securing bookings and earning strong reviews.
Guests often reach out to multiple hosts at the same time. The one who responds quickly, clearly and confidently usually gains their trust first.
Simple practices that can help:
Responding promptly
Providing complete and clear answers in one message
Reassuring the guest about their stay experience
Guests are not just booking a room they are choosing a host they feel comfortable with.
Consistent communication builds trust, reduces issues and naturally improves reviews.
Would love to hear what strategies other hosts are using to build guest confidence and increase bookings.

Hi @Saba222
As a guest on Airbnb, I also tend to ask a few questions before booking mostly about travel advice, nearby attractions, and how convenient the location is in relation to the places I plan to visit. Those initial interactions really shape my decision.
I’ve noticed that when hosts don’t respond in a timely or helpful manner, it immediately puts me off and I usually move on to other options.
Hi @Saba222 , thanks for sharing these tips! Have you noticed if any one of your communication strategy has led to great feedback or positive reviews from guests?
Hi, thank you! Yes proactive and warm communication before and during the stay has definitely helped in getting smoother experiences and more positive guest reviews.
