Compensation for minor issues

Hi there

My guests realised the bag in the hoover was completely full, we have no spare ones in the house and are unable to drive there with new ones. There is however a shovel, and per the rules they are not obliged to hoover the place so it must just be for their own comfort.

Is this something that you would compensate for? If so, how? I'm thinking it's a minor discomfort for them so offering them to have ice cream from the freezer and using our coffee would be a reasonable compensation. What do you think?

Personally I would ask your cleaners to drop over some new bags to the guests if you are unable to get there and update systems with your cleaners if they are responsible for ensuring items like these bags are kept in stock @Sara10285 .

guests shouldn't arrive at a property to find a full Hoover bag.

Hi @Helen3, that's some good advice.

And in cases where it's not possible to solve the issue at hand, what kind of compensation would you think is appropriate for minor disturbances?

It depends is the answer how long are the guests staying for ?

what sort of accommodation do you offer ?

offering compensation won't stop guests from mentioning the issue in their review .

I can't see why your cleaners can't drop over new Hoover bags though.
