Hi there. I am a new host and trying to understand the Preparation Time setting. I don’t want anyone to be able to book the day that a guest checks out to give the cleaners a full day to work. The only option I see is 1 day before/after. Does this block both the day before the checkin and checkout day as preparation time? How does this work with back to back reservations..are 2 days blocked off between reservations?

@Linda5072 blocking one day either side of a reservation will do ONLY that. As such two days will never be blocked but could happen depending on the dates of a subsequent booking.

@Linda5072 I also should have said that to 'work' Airbnb correctly you should think of nights not days. As such if someone checks out on a Thursday then the block will apply to the Thursday night allowing someone to check in on Friday.
Also its important to work on nights if you block your calendar for private use (or a private booking).
Hope this helps
This is the way 1Day Prep time appear (this is the Multicaledar that appears when you turn on Professional Hosting Tools):
Guest A checks out on the 27
The 27th is a Prep Day after the reservation
No one can book/check in on the 27th
Guest B Checks in on the 28th
Guest B Checks out on the 2nd
The 2nd is a prep day after
No one can check in on the 2nd
