Credit in my account which i cannot use for securing a booking

I have found an apartment that i wanted to rent for £1300. I put £650 credit in my account to secure the booking on part pay now and part pay later. When i went to secure the booking AIRBNB wanted the £650 credit and then another £325 debit to secure and nobody can explain why i cannot use the credit to secure the booking.

If i had known this i wouldn't have done it this way.
