Declining Suspicious Request

Hi - Not sure I am posting in right place with a question but I received what appears to be a fraudulent request. I reported but the question is to I still need to decline it?

Whether it's suspicious or not depends on how long it is until check in.

If they're checking in tomorrow, then it's a reasonable request.

If they're checking in next month, it's a little suspicious.

In any case, I tell them for security reasons, they'll receive codes and full instructions and on the day of check in. I've never had a complaint.

Fraudulent messages are usually sent as inquiries, not booking requests @Patrick3843

- Booking requests: you have to accept or decline as soon as possible

- Inquiries: Just type any reponse as soon as possible. You don't have to decline.

Thank you.
It was a booking request as they selected dates, but asked to text on the side, and they asked about keypad code and passwords, which I found suspicious. I reported and declined the request.
