Do guests get a reminder to book when I’ve pre-approved their enquiry
Hi, just wondering. I had an enquiry if the guests could bring a dog and an extra guest. I said no to the dog but yes to the extra guest so pre- approved. The pre-approval has expired but I just wondered if the guests get an automatic reminder to book? It’s only 4 days away and I’d rather know if I have the booking so I can get organised! Thanks!
@Anna12058 Having been pre-approved as a guest I can honestly say the number of reminders is excessive and irritating. As such when we have an inquiry we never pre-approve because I don't want to come across as pushy.
Some guests will make multiple inquiries so I wouldn't think there is a definite (or even likely) booking coming if it has been 4 days.
I think the guest gets bombarded with reminders even after the expiry date, I would imagine thats how Airbnb build up their database of email contacts.
In the STR business you should always be organised and ready you just never know when you will get a booking.
