Good afternoon, I have offered to donate two nights at my Airbnb to a charity my daughter works for. What is the best way to go about providing that for a guest?

We've been asked a number of times to do this, which is a truly wonderful idea. We decided that a gift certificate was the easiest for us to provide.

We were cautioned that we needed to make sure that certain things were clearly disclosed and safeguarded. They include house rules, occupancy limits, parties, events, gatherings. This, similar to any "third party" booking meant that we needed to remain personally involved in the auction, and meet with the high bidder to make sure they understood the rules and limitations on their purchase. We found that potential issues included parties, smoking, drug use, parking, noise, pets, impact on neighbors, fire safety, etc.  We needed to write a clear disclosure on the auction listing so that there would be no misunderstandings. We needed to follow up in case the winner did not take the time to read and digest the disclosure. 

Again, this is a wonderful and generous gift!
