Guest allowed to remove 5 star review after damaging my property

A guest left a five-star rating and a great review. This guest has also ruined the kitchen table. Once I filed for damages, the guest was allowed to remove his review. This is completely unacceptable. As hosts, we can never remove a review once we leave it. The guest did not pay for the damages and removed the review. I have contacted support, emailed, etc... no help. They give me the runaround and refuse to answer why this is allowed. Terrible customer service and treatment for a superhost.

Yes, anyone is allowed to remove their OWN review. Host can also request to have his/her own review removed.

Do you know whether it's just the written review that is removed in such a case? I got the impression from a previous discussion that the star rating cannot be removed (even by the guest/host themselves), but I could've misunderstood.

@Shelley159

When you request to have the written review removed, the star rating is also removed.

This works both ways as well. As in, the guest can also request to have a review they've written removed.

@Zheng49 Thanks. Is this new? I feel like prior to this I wasn’t allowed to remove my review. Do I simply contact support to request to have my review removed?
