Guest and host messages

Hello! I don't get host messages to my e-mail, but I verified that Profile/Settings/Notifications/Account e-mail notifications are ON. And I actually become general reminders from AirBNB but not specific messages from the host. Additionally what I could do was to turn the SMS notifications ON.

Did you check those settings on your computer/laptop as well as the app? Sometimes there are differences on the app versus the computer and full functionality  is on the computer (per Airbnb customer service when I had issues with things on my app). They should have all the same on each platform but it is different systems (iOS, android, pc) so can vary in options sometimes. 

If you have done this and checked the help articles and still can’t figure out what the problem is, either chat with Airbnb customer service or call them to have them trouble shoot with you. I’ve had to on 3 different occasions (one was a new release that impacted some features, another was a bug, another was an issue only on the app but not on the computer).

Lorina has made a great point of cross checking the settings on desktop as well! Have you tried looking into it?

 

If the issue still persists despite cross checking on desktop and mobile devices, it would be worth double checking with the customer support as well!
