So, I'm relatively new but just had a guest who broke a cabinet drawer and didn't leave me a review. I realized it's probably because they didn't want to receive my review. The drawer was a quick fix so it wasn't a big deal. My person is a contractor. It was fixed in no time. NOW I have someone coming in with two stays and zero reviews and wondering if that's what people do when they do not want to receive a review. Thoughts?
I’ve never had any issues with new Airbnb guests who have zero reviews. I make sure to communicate how Airbnb works, emphasizing that this is our home and that I expect them to leave it as they found it at checkout. After all, both new guests and new hosts have to start somewhere. 😊
@Deanna301. Reviews are blind so any submitted are going to appear after 14 days; you dont get to choose unless issues and Airbnb intervens. I have very occasionally had such a guest so I rely on extra questions upfront to clarify. It would help hosts if every host completed a guest review and vice versa imo.
It's a shame you didn't leave a review for the guest who broke your cabinet drawer . Why didn't you?
The platform relies on hosts and guests leaving honest reviews @Deanna301
about 25% of my guests have no previous reviews . Sometimes because they are new to the platform and sometimes because some hosts particularly larger scale hosts are too lazy to leave their guests a review .
