Guests asking for a discount on there booking

I have a guest who booked a 2 bedroom suite , comes in on Saturday for 3 nights . One of their friends couldn’t make it , so its just the two of them . They asked if I would give them a discount . Not sure what to do .

Do you charge per person?  Maybe in that case but otherwise no

If you charge an additional person charge then ask them to send an amended request for two people and the price will change to reflect two people.

@Lori2748  I did a quick mock book and it looks like the price for 3 is the same as for 2.  If this is the case I’d go back to them asking them to modify, something like this....

’Sorry to hear your friend won’t be joining you for the weekend.  If you pop over to your booking on Airbnb you can reduce the guest count from 3 to 2.  

As it’s a whole of property booking  the rental cost is the same for stays for  1 and 4 guests but you would be very welcome to have another friend join you.’
