HELP! OSTR PERMIT RENEWAL CITY OF NEW ORLEANS NOT BEING ISSUED IN TIME

Hey

I am super host for property in the city of New Orleans. We have very strict permit requirements due to hotel lobbyist wanting to basically run STR's out of the city.  With that being said, the city has yet to issue permits for OSTR (operational short-term rental) which was expired on 7/1/25. Airbnb is now informing me that if the city does not get this issued by 8/1/25 they will remove our listing from short term rental capabilities.  I submitted my application prior to the expiration.  Is anyone else in this situation with the city and then Airbnb not supporting where we are and having 0 control of the city and how slow they move?

STR restrictions are not usually down to or even in the main due to the. 'Hotel lobby' . 

local authorities normally want to rightly restrict the impact that having too many STRs has on local communities.

I'm sorry your city hadn't issued the permit you need in a timely manner .
