Harassment and discrimination from host

I'm wondering if anyone has had this experience. I unfortunately had the recent experience of staying in a very dirty apartment which I couldn't get out off because there were no other options in the area. At the end of the trip, I wrote a very host review of the condition of the apartment. Clearly the hosts were not happy after reading my review so they somehow got my phone number and now they're not only harassing me via the Airbnb app but also through Whatsapp. I immediately contacted Airbnb about the harassment (it took me about 2 hours to report) and requested a refund due to the harassment and safety concerns. After two days of back and forth with Airbnb, they tell me that they can't refund me (even though I reported within the 72 hour timeframe), and that their only solution with these hosts is for me to block them. 

 

Has anyone had such a negative experience with Airbnb and their privacy settings? I wasn't going to demand a refund but the fact that these people can chase me down due to Airbnb providing my personal information seems a bit crazy. 

 

PS: Please know that I've provided screenshots of all communications. Even when the hosts bribed me to remove the bad rating and they would give me my money back. I feel it's more important for people to know about these con artists (Lord knows how many times they've done this before with their 4.98 rating) but, I'm not sure what to do here.

Just to put you at ease that the host didn't do anything strange to get your phone number:

As soon as a booking is finalised, both the host and the guest can see the other person's phone number in the booking. The phone numbers are removed from the booking history shortly after the check-out date.

Thank you for the reply. After 4 days of communicating with Airbnb they finally informed me of this. That just means that the hosts saved my number because the booking ended on Sunday, and they started harassing me on Tuesday. It just shows that the hosts have done this before. I’m just shocked that Airbnb continues to put roadblocks for me getting my refund after an experience like this.
