Hope everyones doing well.

Hi @Payal18

(note to self, I need to save my previous replies)  Feels like I was brilliant on some of them.  LOL.

Honestly, I am feeling much the same way at this moment.  However, I will tell you this (while I remind myself) - I have had a couple longer stays that aren't through AirBnB (Friends and family - moving into town and needing a place while they looked for a permanent place)

- and actually several things like that occurred.

Which THAT above, takes me lower on the SEO when searching.

More specifically I have found two things that should ease your mind:

1. March is typically SUPER SLOW, April is okay, May should be better.

2. AND - I found that many people do NOT book in advance.  Many many of my bookings are a week prior.

Our places are dramatically different though.  And as others have said, starting out, it is slow.

Hi @Payal18,

Welcome to the community! 👋

Have you had a chance to look at similar listings in the area, to see whether they seemed to be busier or if it was a quiet time locally perhaps?

I wonder if some of our lovely hosts here could take a look and share more suggestions with you as well: @Oksana127 @Vivek143 @Clair16 @Denise1657 @Rizooto0 if you have some ideas for Payal, we'd love to hear them 🤗

Thanks,

Emilie

Heyy Payal,

We faced a similar issue with our listings at the start of the listing being live, but eventually it gets better

@Auraya-Homes0 It's always reassuring to hear first hand experiences like yours 😊 Did you do anything in particular to improve things, that Payal could try?

Hey @Auraya-Homes0 thanks, for the encouraging words good to hear that!!!!

Hey... thanks for your prompt reply....I did check other listings and my rates are pretty fair compare to others. But just not sure whats happening... my rates, cleaning rates trying my best to keep it as low as possible.

@Payal18 Another things - you should definitely take advantage of the discounts for longer stays.  Your place looks like a place for a family vacation or group of friends that would go somewhere for a week.

Use that discount!!  better to get something versus nothing.  (I tell my husband that all the time)  wink wink
