Host askinng for city tax to be paid in cash - Prague

Hey there, me and my friends will be staying in Prague next week and today i got a message from our Airbnb host that states that we will need to pay 50 CZK (2 EURO) per person, per night.

Anyone has any idea if that's a thing?

Thanks (:

@Yuval31 Yes there is a Prague city tax and the amount is correct. It should strictly be mentioned in the listing. For some strange reason these type of taxes often are collected in cash - I have no idea why.

Thanks, I rechecked and there was nothing about it in the listing.

What should I do?

@Yuval31 If 2 Euros per night is a big deal to you then message the host and ask them why this charge is not mentioned in their listing. If you can afford it then pay it but suggest to the host (when you meet them) that they at least mention it in their listing.
