How To Maintain Your 'Super Host' Status

How To Maintain Your 'Super Host' Status

We are pleased to announce that we have maintained our 'Super Host' Status for our 2nd year in a row!

Here are some of the things we do to help ensure a FIVE – STAR rating with every guest:

  • Communicate with guests prior to their stay, and inquire about their upcoming strip. By asking them a few simple questions, we can anticipate their needs and make their vacation more enjoyable.  For example, we ask them if they will need transportation.  In our area, you usually have to reserve a rental-car weeks in advance, especially during the peak season.
  • Provide some (unexpected) perks: we offer a complimentary bottle of wine, a few bags of the region’s best coffee, and on occasion some free ‘MAGA’ hats!!
  • Solicit feedback after their stay.  Upon their departure, we send the guest a private message that reads: “We hope you enjoyed your time in our home and found everything comfortable, and that we are deserving of your five-star review.  If you have any suggestions on how we can improve our guest experience, would you be so kind as to leave us a private message? Thank you again and we hope you return soon!”  I have received a plethora of great ideas that I received from guest feedback.
  • Continually update your Airbnb account.  Just like the property itself, things can get quickly outdated.   See what your local leading competition is offering and offer similar / better accommodations & perks. Experiment with different cover titles and photos.
  • Keep in touch with your guests and implement regular ‘touchpoints’ We have been blessed with many repeat visits from our favorite guests, as well as referrals from prior guests.  We offer a free night stay for a 3-night booking for returning guests and referrals, as the risk of a ‘bad guest’ is minimized.

Hello @Michael8804 👋

This is such a wonderful and helpful guide for hosts looking to earn their Superhost status - thank you so much for sharing this with us on the Community Center.

I wondered if you would mind if I added this to our Community Center Guides section so we can easily find and share this in the future? (I did need to tweak the post slightly to remove the advertising as the Community Center is an advert-free zone 🤗

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Congratulations on being a superhost for two years . @Michael8804

I am now in my tenth year as a superhost .

Personally I would keep your personal politics out of your STR business . Not everyone is going to love the idea of receiving a MAGA hat in fact some guests may actively avoid staying with you.

Airbnb is a platform committed to inclusivity and with everything MAGA stands for you are putting out a message to the contrary .  And some guests from diverse backgrounds may not feel welcome. @Rebecca
