Every guest brings something different to the table and sometimes that includes special requests. Some might ask you for an early check-in, others might need a bit of local advice, and now and then it’s something completely unexpected - we've had some great stories here on the Community Center! I’d love to hear how you approach these moments. Do you have a go-to way of managing requests? Do you set clear boundaries up front, or do you take each situation as it comes?
This feels like an area where everyone’s style is slightly different, and it would be great to learn from the variety of approaches in our host community.

In realtà non ho una formula speciale per gestire domande specifiche degli ospiti...
Comunque cerco sempre di fare del mio meglio per rispondere alla richiesta. Così cerco di mettermi nei panni del viaggiatore e di come vorrei essere trattata a mia volta, naturalmente nei limiti del possibile!
Il mio approccio, improntato alla massima disponibilità possibile e, per quello che è la mia esperienza, vedo che dá buoni frutti, prima di tutto come rapporto positivo con il mio ospite!
Kindness is the key, here. If we are able to help our guests, we do it asap. Some of them have come early but, if we are ready with fixing everything, of course they can get to our home!!

I prefer texts, because it seems to be more respectful of my guest's privact or time. But I am very friendly, therefore, if they allow me to, I love to say hi in person.

I always try my best to offer flexible check-in and check-out times at no extra cost whenever the schedule allows. Most of our guests are either flying in or out, and I completely understand how inconvenient it can be to check out at 11 AM when your flight isn’t until the evening like no one wants to carry their luggage around for hours!
If there’s no incoming guest on the same day, they are welcome to check in early or check out late absolutely free of charge. For guests arriving extra early (for example, around 3 AM), I usually offer a 50% discount for the night before so I can block the unit, prepare it ahead of time, and make sure they can settle in comfortably right away.
As a fellow traveler and Airbnb guest myself, I truly understand how much small gestures like these can make a big difference in making guest stay smooth, stress-free, and enjoyable.
