How to offer (licensed) home baked goods breakfast/snack options for an extra charge?

I have a cottage baking business in my home. I would like to maybe offer guests the option to purchase breakfast muffins to enjoy during their stay. What is the best way to do this? Should I put it in my listing, send them a note privately when they book, or just give them a menu/list at check-in? That would probably be best for me, since I may not be about to do it for every single guest due to my availability. Anyone know of an example listing I can look at?  Just wondering what is best practice. Thank you!

@Pamela324   You generally don't want to offer anything in the listing that isn't going to be available to every guest, as that could result in some disappointments. And when people are in the early stages of planning their trips, they're probably not thinking about breakfast much yet, so a note when they first book may be premature. But it can be a really nice surprise at check-in to discover that there's an option to have fresh baked goods delivered for breakfast in the morning. Especially if the location doesn't happen to be very close to other dining options.

Thank you for your response, Andrew!

I typically gift my guests fresh cookies or something like that halfway through their stay. I just thought it might be a good way to add something to their visit. Sometimes ppl come here and get cozy and hardly leave lol!

@Pamela324  I’m thinking as a guest, I would be thrilled to find a menu offering baked goods!!  What a wonderful surprise that would be. It also takes the awkwardness out of charging for then as it would show in the menu, plus it’s delivered!!  I think that’s genius!   As a host I personally could not commit to having specific bakery items on hand all the time, but if this is something that you are able to offer, way to go!  How awesome.

I always leave a bottle of local wine as we live in wine country and a snack basket of chips snd snack bars.  I’ve left fruit platters on occasion but have found they are often left in the fridge to rot.  I was just searching whether homemade baking would be a possible option. I may try that however have to be cognizant if allergies.
