How to share link to my own Guest profile?

Hi, I am trying to share the link to my own Airbnb Guest profile page, as I have travelled extensively & have many excellent reviews from hosts. I am applying for a long-term tenancy rental with a private landlord, and would like to share my personal reviews to confirm I will treat the property with care.

Currently it is a generic URL (https://www.airbnb.ca/users/profile) when I am on my Guest profile page, and no existing share buttons that I have found.

Thank you for any help, or info about why Guest profile pages are not shareable??

Not true! You can go to a listing that you've left a review on before, and click on your photo associated with the view to get your specific profile URL.

I believe for for privacy and security purposes, only other Hosts can see your Airbnb profile and reviews on Airbnb. Most private landlords get information about you from a background check. This usually includes employment, credit and eviction history. I suppose you could take screen shots of your reviews, but many landlords would not accept that and prefer to rely on a background check for long term stays.

Thank you! I did end up just screenshotting the reviews. Appreciate your reply 👍

If a landlord is getting an actual credit history without full consent, the landlord is a criminal. Of course, as veterans of the NYC and Paris rental markets, we know most are!

The credit checks my Host/Landlord clients use are authorized by the tenant/guest (they must consent). Someone who doesn't want to do that doesn't get to rent with them. No need to get a credit history without their consent, as it is a requirement to be considered.

In general (in the U.S.), there are (3) major financial data companies that track your credit history. Your score is available to to those you have authorized to obtain it before lending to you (mortgage, car loan, credit card). Nothing new there. If you have a bad credit score, you would be more of a risk to a lender (or a Landlord) as you have a poor history of paying your bills. Would you want to rent to someone who didn't have a good track record? I think not.

Of course, these days, your personal information is everywhere (dark web) and is easily available to anyone for a fee without your consent. Not sure how you get around that. There are ways to mitigate it, but no way to eliminate it.

But this is a forum for AirBnb?? There is no consent for a credit check on AirBnb. Trust me, I understand the law and do not need a primer since I've rented apartments in 6 countries. And AirBnb's and old HomeAway/VRBO (RIP!) in roughly 20 countries.

I am just confused why you are talking about credit checks on this forum? That's all.

Also, on AirBnb, it is absolutely false that only hosts can see a profile? It is completely public. And there is no option to make it private. See Rachel3280's excellent response below...

Confirmed! Thanks for this hack. @Rachel3280

Thanks Rachel! I love when a forum does what it is supposed to do. We have 63 glowing reviews and that is a valuable tool here and everywhere!

Peace and thanks!
