I Got This Message From Potential Booking Inquiry Potential Scam?

"My fiancé is here for business. We love your place and will soon be joining him with our daughter and family, but we have a few questions."

:Is there laundry in the home? On the pictures, I can't see it."

"Are roads OK to travel in night?"

"Please provide me your phone number in the following format: $$404$$865$$1471, and I'll call you to talk."

I suspect this is a scam, but I am not sure.  Asking for a phone number in an unusual format is weird.  Can anyone comment?

Just got an inquiry from the same number - reported as scam.

That to me is such an obvious scam that I would not even reply to the person. Just report them to Airbnb.

I received the below message from a person who has the same number on the VRBO format. Below was their message to me.

"Hello, please get back with us. We are interested in your home and would like to know how far the amenities were from the location, reach out pls or Sending me your nmber should be done as follows: Please look at the following list and 'remove the fruit' and use the nmbers to reach me..... 4 Apples 0 Kumquats 4 Bananas 8 Raspberries 6 Blueberries 5 Blackberries 1 Lemons 4 Oranges 7 Limes 1 Grapes "

I told them to only communicate on the site and i would answer any queries they had on the platform. I do believe this is a scam. So please do not give out your personal information or phone number.
