Hi everyone,
does anyone struggle to get their guests to leave reviews?
Everyone who has stayed with us loves our place and has left positive comments both in person and on my own feedback forms I leave for them to fill in before they checkout. A couple have said they don't really care about leaving reviews or receiving their own reviews.
I feel that a lack of reviews might devalue my listing and its quite frustrating.

Hi @Elizabeth3203 it's a common challenge for Airbnb hosts to encourage guests to leave reviews. Reviews are crucial for building credibility and attracting more guests. Here are some steps you can take to increase the likelihood of guests leaving reviews, hope this helps!
1. Ask your guests to leave a review. Explain how much it helps your listing and that you'd appreciate their feedback.
2. Send a follow-up message through the Airbnb platform thanking them for their stay and politely asking for a review. Keep it friendly and appreciative.
3. In your follow-up message, include a direct link to the review page. The easier it is for guests to leave a review, the more likely they will do it.
4. Send your follow-up message promptly after their stay, ideally within a day or two. This way, their experience is still fresh in their minds.
5. Continue to offer great experiences. Guests are more inclined to leave a review if their stay was memorable.
6. Show that you value feedback by responding to all reviews. This encourages future guests to leave their own.
Why not ask them to leave a review on Airbnb rather than asking them to complete your own feedback forms @Elizabeth3203
Do always ask them to leave an Airbnb review and they say they will, but I've only had 3 out of 8 guests do it and I've also left every guest a review in the hope that it prompts them to do it in return. I've had a couple of them say they don't really care about leaving reviews or receiving their own reviews as well.
A sad fact of the review process is that it's downright crucial to our businesses but for guests, their own reviews are worthless, and possibly even just helps our competition.

Thank you, Alicia, I do all of the above except sending them the link when sending my after check out message so will give that a go. Cheers!
