Listing banned by local municipality

I would like to get in touch with a host or host leader who can provide information/guidance regarding my AIRBNB listings being banned by local municipality in Garfield, NJ

Hi Hellen3, thank you for engaging. This is really frustrating. They say it is an illegal business but there is no information online about the city or state regulating AIRBNB rentals at all. It is also the only time they are reaching out to me about it. There are no requirements at all.

Hi @Exait0 , I'm so sorry to hear about this. I can't imagine how frustrating this must be for you. You could try getting in touch with other Hosts in your area by joining one of the local Host Clubs. You can find the Host Clubs on the map here: https://community.withairbnb.com/t5/Local-Host-Clubs/ct-p/en_clubs

Why did your local government ban you @Exait0

Did they say you weren't operating within their STR requirements?

these are the STR regulations for New Jersey and when I looked on the Garfield government website there was information on STR regulations.

It seems beyond strange that your area would tell you that your STR is illegal if they have no restrictions

Give them a call and ask you to point you in the directions of their STR regulations on their website
