Missing items

I had a returning who stayed 3 nights. I went to clean the space and all my cleaning supplies were gone. I'm new at hosting so I'm unsure how to proceed. Do i message my guest and ask where she put them? Do i just not leave the cleaning supplies in the bathroom  which is the direction i think i'm going moving forward.   thanks for any feedback

@Julie5192 , I rarely leave cleaning supplies in our listing unit. I have a cleaning supply container that has a handle (has different size sections to place different sized cleaning supplies) that I use to store/carry my cleaning supplies. After every check out I retrieve my cleaning supply “bucket” to clean etc…once I’m done I carry it back out and store it in our garage. Granted, our listing is small with storage being limited.

Hope you find a remedy to your situation. Can’t imagine your guest taking them etc…but then again….stranger things have happened!

@Julie5192 hopefully, they didn't throw them away. You might want to have a different location to keep the cleaning supplies. Sometimes, the guest might think you want them to clean, which is of course a good thing if they do, but I think that's why you have cleaners. It's better to be safe than sorry.

You could ask them if they moved them or used them and the answer may be innocent enough, but either way keep them in a locked place in the future if that is what you rather do.
