Need Help giving guest instructions

Hi,

I have an international guest Arriving when I won’t be home.

i would like to send a video of how to access their room and where to find the key.
Mia there a way to do this on the listing within the app?

Were you not able to send them the video via WhatsApp or text them the video?

You can attach photos to Airbnb messages but not video. Some Hosts send guests a video to the via text message or WhatsApp.

You can also add photos to your Arrival Guide with instructions under Check-in Method.

Thank you.  I tried all options but they didn’t get the pics in their messages in time.

it would be great if we could share the check-in guide directly…not just have it posted automatically 48hr prior.

Hi @Robyn518

Add Instructions to Your Airbnb Arrival Guide. Airbnb allows you to include detailed check-in instructions, along with photos, in your listing’s Arrival Guide. This guide becomes available to guests 48 hours before their check-in time. To add or update this information:

  1. Navigate to your listing’s Arrival Guide section.
  2. Set or adjust your check-in method, time, directions, and other relevant details.
  3. Add photos or a video to help guests understand the check-in process.
  4. Preview the guide to see how it will appear to guests.

Unfortunately sending videos on the app is not available yet but my wild guess  it will be soon.  Great suggestion from @Joan2709

You can send your check-in video through the confirmed guest’s contact number or via WhatsApp.

Hope this helps!

I usually send photos of the way from the street to the apartment door & as a "just-in-case" send the link to an unlisted youtube video where I show how to get there with all needed info (I think that's the way to go since it's a known platform, it auto-translates captions, & most people have it already on their devices)

@Pauls5

That is a great idea! 😊 I

have heard some Hosts create a QR code and put on small sign or on a sticker and place it next to a device or applicance that guests sometimes have questions about. They scan the QR code and it takes them to their YouTube private page with a video on how to use.

I have made a physical guidebook (which I also send in PDF format), where I place the QR codes for all main apps that could be relevant & connection to the WiFi

I love it!  Thank you.  I will definitely be doing this.  Let’s hope Airbnb catch up and allow videos sooner rather than later.
