Owners refusing service dogs

Owners repeatedly ignore Airbnb policy and US law by refusing service dogs. How do I report these owners? They should not be allowed on the site.

@Rene3301

It all depends on the situation.

A dog must meet Service animal Requirements also defined b Federal Laws.  The person requiring a Service Animal has Federal Law Requirements also.

A Host may apply fo and be granted  legal exemption status for a rental to not accommodate Service Animals.

If you are comfortable that you are in compliance but the Host is refusing your Service animal.  You could call the police because illegal.  I would not want to force myself where no wanted.  Call Airbnb it would be a Discrimination Claim.  You will receive an 100% refund, the listing will be suspended for investigation and Airbnb ill help you find another listing.

I am disabled also so I understand Discrimination hurts.  I always say don't get lost in the weeds.  You rented to participate in your life. Not to establish Service Animal Rights.  Focus on you.

Your response is absurd. People have service animals because they NEED them. Traveling with him IS focusing on me.

@Rene3301  If you have a service animal, you and your service animal are welcome to rent my property.  The reluctance of other property owners to rent to service animals is due to the number of persons who LIE about their animal.  Blame those people for the difficulty you have in finding a host.

@Rene3301  I am sorry to hear this.  Can you be a little more specific as to what is taking place?

Hosts are allowed by law to ask two questions about your service animal. 1. Is your service animal due to a disability?  2.  What task has the animal been trained to do?

Failing to answer these questions will sometimes put a host on defense and they may just decline.  Admittedly, there are many hosts who do no understand the SA laws which is unfortunate.
