Payment issue resolved for reservation **

I have guests currently staying for a month (they're 3 weeks in) and I received payment from AirBnB right at the beginning - so all is well. But I just got an email from AirBnB with the subject "Payment issue resolved for reservation **" and says:

Hi Bryan,
We've succeeded in collecting payment from XXXX for reservation ** during April 8, 2023 - May 9, 2023.
Thanks,
The Airbnb team

What does this mean? Should I be concerned about extending them?

- Bryan

@Bryan762 for long term stays the payments are made every 30 days (might be 28). As such you are probably due a second payment for the final couple of days. Perhaps the folks forgot to pay this. Yes be concerned about extending them although you may already have created a tenancy depending on the law in the jurisdiction of your listing.

If you have a long term booking and Airbnb only pay out 28/30 days, if the guests choose to cancel within this window for the final 14 days is this allowed

@Kevin1718 Technically not allowed but what would could Airbnb or the host do if the guest didn't pay. We set our max stay to 28 days for a reason!

@Bryan762 The first payment which you received already would not have been sent if the funds were not already paid, maybe as Mike and jane intimated ,a few days were missing as you may only have been paid 28 days and are owed two extra days.so it is an update and nothing to worry about unless there has been a previous email to say that there has been difficulty collecting  owed monies. If you extend for an extra month be aware that a discount may apply to the extra amount retrospectively...
