I’m curious if anyone has had issues with Airbnb not removing retaliatory reviews? I had a guest make a reservation for someone else that had a party. I live below and eventually had to call the police at which time the guest were asked to leave the property once a loaded machine gun was found. I’ve disputed the review twice and being told by Airbnb that it’s within the guidelines but yet I can’t get one single person to explain to me why or how these situations are within policy and guidelines. All they keep doing is telling me they’ve made their decision and send me an article. so I find it hard to believe that a person that never even stepped foot into the property and booked the reservation for someone else how that’s even policy number one not to mention the other issues that happen.
if you use the search function on this community you will see literally hundreds of guests complaining about the same thing since Airbnb introduced AI to manage disputes around retaliatory reviews @Stephen1582
you don't have a listing attached to your profile so I can't comment further.

Sorry meant hosts 😀😀
Hello Stephen,
You’re absolutely right — and believe me, you’re not alone. I’ve been hosting for years, and the way Airbnb now handles reviews is an absolute disgrace. The old system actually made sense — you could get a clearly retaliatory or false review removed with proper evidence.
Now? Airbnb hides behind what they call their “specialized team,” which in reality is just an AI script with zero human judgment. You can submit 20 screenshots, chat logs, timestamps, and even police reports — and five minutes later, you’ll get the same robotic line: “This review does not violate our policy.”
Let’s be real: Airbnb has completely turned its back on the very people who built their platform. Without hosts, there is no Airbnb. Yet today, even if a guest harasses, lies, or verbally abuses you, Airbnb won’t lift a finger. They’ll protect the guest, label it as “feedback,” and move on — while we’re left to pick up the pieces.
Many of us are done. I’m already preparing to migrate away from Airbnb, and I know dozens of other experienced hosts doing the same. Maybe when enough of us leave, they’ll realize what a huge mistake it was to replace fairness and logic with blind algorithms.
Honestly, I’ve lost all respect for how Airbnb now treats its hosts. The so-called “community managers” can’t fix this either — they’re just another layer of damage control for a system that no longer cares.
Airbnb forgot one simple truth: we made this platform what it is. And if they keep ignoring us, we’ll take our properties, our guests, and our reputation elsewhere.
Best,
Omar
