Return Guests - How do you know?

I have had a lovely review from a guest, and in it she mentioned she had stayed before.

I had no idea she was a returning guest.

Is there something on the site to show a returning guest?  Did I miss something?

If there isn't I think it would be a super handy function to have.

Had I know my guest had stayed before, I feel.....I would have liked to leave out a little something extra.

Form returning guest, if still using same Airbnb account, you will see the (previous) conversations in same  Inbox. If they use other account, you will need to do some filtering on the name.

I have the same experience like you.

It isn't delightful.  I didn't notice the guest is the second or third visit. And I didn't wish him

“Welcome back!”

 

I figure it out; after receiving the new reservation, I always through ‘ Reservation Detail’ to screen the guest.

Airbnb App > In box >Click on the  Detail box at the right top page > wait for the download to view the guest reservations detail of the current reservation and the completed reservation.

Click on the reservation details to view the guest upcoming, current and complete booking in your listing inbox pageClick on the reservation details to view the guest upcoming, current and complete booking in your listing inbox page

Good answers from other hosts. This is clearly an opportunity for AirBnb to do a better job to support hosts - and guests...  

 

I love Jenn and Jess's comment - "I would have liked to leave out a little something extra.."

 

If hosts can get a heads up that a "frequent stayer" is returning, we can opt to leave a card, some chocolate, or a bottle of wine.  An informal frequent flyer accout per se.

 

Thoughts?

Did anything ever come from this great idea? I just had an embarrassing exchange with a three-peat customer.  I would have at least said welcome back but also would have put out some of their favorite things from past days.

@Alex Yeah I tried his suggestion but I don't have that reservation detail that shows past stays. I've looked everywhere on my phone and I don't see it.
