Rude and unhelpful host

I had a booking this weekend for a doctor who was providing cover for my employers. She had an issue with the heating on check in. I will attach my conversation with the doctor and the conversation with the host.

 

After my interaction with the host I felt so uncomfortable and didn’t want to continue the booking so I contacted Airbnb support. After many back and forth a they eventually sided with the host and I was left out of pocket.

 

Am I wrong in thinking that the hosts behavior wasn’t acceptable?

I can't believe I took the time to read this tete a' tete 2x, but I did, to be fair. I would have done the same as Airbnb, because the whole situation was like dealing with a guest's 'agent' (you) and that made it quite different from just a much simpler guest-host situation.
