I'm so frustrated as both a host and a traveler that the search by categories is no longer available. Why or why remove that...

Hello
Can someone help me to find my viewing stats on the app? I looked it up on Google and it said to find a table called insights but I don't seem to have one, or if I do I can't find it!
Thanks Kay
Hi @Kay2248
Make sure you're in host view (not guest view).
Click Menu.
Insights is at the top, the icon to the right of Earnings.
Hi Shelley
Thank you! I am in host view, but when I click Menu, all I get is the following list of options?
Early access features
Account Settings
Hosting resources
Get help
Find a cohost
Create new listing
Refer a host
Legal
Logout
I don't have any icons visible, insights, earnings or otherwise? Clearly I am not in the right place but can't figure out how to get there!
Thanks Kay
You're in the right place @Kay2248
Directly above "Early Access Features" there should be two blocks: Earnings and Insights.
Well that is a good start maybe! 🙂
Above the early access features all I have is a box saying New to Airbnb? Get started. I have listened to the video and completed all the actions, but the box stays there and I suspect it is hiding the icons? Any idea how I get rid of it? Thanks so much!
It sounds like your listing is too young to have statistics for the Insights tab @Kay2248
I can see it still has the "New" callout on your listing.
Let's just confirm:
@Joan2709 is this what you find when you work with new hosts? Does Kay just have to wait until she's completed a number of stays and then "Insights" will appear?
Thanks Shelley
Yes...another Host complained about the same thing. I believe the "Get Started" splash page is hiding your insights tab. Another bug that was part of the May 2025 release.
I suggest you contact Airbnb and advise you HAVE watched all the videos and completed all the actions, yet the "Get Started" splash page is still there.
Have you tried on a desktop/laptop computer?
Another Host complained about this. Airbnb has added a Splash page that covers the Earnings and Insights tabs. Even if the Host watches the videos and completes the actions, the Splash page "Get Started" remains? This is a bug (IMHO). This area on the login page is part of the new "Host Actions" area added by the Summer 2025 release:
This is like the "Follow-Ups" on the Today Page that remain for 14days even though reviews have been written and read. This splash page may eventually disappear after Host has completed tasks/actions? However, in the meantime, they can't access important information.
It's almost like whoever coded these things, didn't finish writing the code so that if the actions required were completed, the splash page or Follow-ups notifications should be removed timely. It also shows poor planning, as since the menu layout was changed, anything in the Host Actions sections will block Earnings & Insights tab. Maybe that was intentional to prompt Host to complete tasks? If so, then fine...after the tasks are completed, the notice should immediately be removed.
@Rebecca @Bhumika - could you kindly forward this to the appropriate Team at Airbnb?
Thank you Joan - I will report it as well. Just glad I wasn't being completely stupid!
The other Host finally got it resolved by doing this:
Logout of ALL devices (phone/tablet/computer)
Delete the Airbnb App on your phone
Re-install Airbnb App on your phone
Log into phone ONLY using your email address (not your phone number)
Let us know if this works?
I'm not able to tell as I'm not currently working with a new listing. I'm guessing there is something similar there on the menu for the desktop, but @Kay2248 can check that and let us know?
Here is the thread from the other Host with the same issue:

@Kay2248 Hi Kay, It might well just be due to you being a very new host/listing?
Do be aware that view stats are not 'real time' views.
When you do (eventually) see your view stats (which are updated weekly), it will show the total views of guests who searched for dates in that week, and then clicked on your listing, in the past six months only.
So, if you're really that new, you won't see anything for at least a week.
And, if guests are searching for, say, dates in March 2026 right now, and click on your listing, that view stat will not be included in the total for that week in March.
