I have a record player in my home. Today, I realized that someone damaged it and stole a very rare and expensive record. But I don't know when it happened or which guest it was since i noticed it only now. How should I handle this?

I am sorry this happened but if you want to make a claim for damage or stolen items you need to know which guests did this. Please don't leave rare/expensive items on your Airbnb that can be easily stolen @Djamilia0
Oh dear~ that's a shame 😞
Not sure how you could proceed since you stated you don't know when it happened or which guest it could have been.. Also, it could be one person who caused damage and another moved or took the record.
Did you look in other rooms for the record ? Maybe someone was reading the cover someplace else.
You'll need to scale down items you leave out so there's less chance of personal things being tampered with. Lock up anything of personal or monetary value. You can lock a cupboard or closet.
Sorry this happened !

Hi @Djamilia0,
I'm really sorry to hear that one of your records got stolen and your record player damaged! It's a tricky situation, but @Helen3 and @Cheri354 have shared some advice based on their hosting experience, which I hope is helpful going forward.
Let us know how you get on! 😊
