Many hosts offer substantial discounts for longer stays, so it may not be cost-effective to provide all the usual amenities for the entire stay. In that case, hosts provide a starter pack, making it clear to the guest that they are expected to provide their own after it runs out.
The main thing is that you make whatever arrangement you decide on clear to guests before they book, or at least before their free cancellation period runs out, getting their acknowledgement that they understand and agree to this.
