I recently had an emergency booking upstate for my father’s passing. Upon reserving a house to stay in for 3 nights, Airbnb immediately cancelled the reservation and suspended my account for no given reason.
In the email was a partial reason stating that my account was not ‘verified’ even though the first thing you see when you click on my profile is that I’ve been verified with a good review since June 2025.
When speaking and messaging to Airbnb support, I was met 3 times with the usual ‘we’ve referred this to our specialised team’, with no contact details nor email given out to this ‘specialised team’. Because of these delays it looks like I’m gonna miss my father’s funeral, and also looks like I won’t be receiving the refund in time to book a temporary hotel. After calling 3 times you’d atleast expect to have someone from the support team to give you a reason as to why you were suspended but I have yet to receive a reason.
