Tax Exempt Status

Hello,

I am trying to book an AirBNB for one of our physicians who is going to be supporting one of our partner hospitals.  Is there a way for me to provide our tax exempt number to have the taxes removed from our booking?

As far as I know, this is not possible in the U.S. (it is possible in some other European countries). You can contact Airbnb directly though to ask.

Reservations usually have sales tax and sometimes Occupany Taxes (tourism taxes, etc.).

You would have to contact the taxing authorities involved to apply for a possible refund, but don't believe you are able to claim a refund for tax exempt status in the U.S. through Airbnb. Be sure to keep a copy of your reservation details showing the taxes paid and to which tax authorities.
