Unauthorized Party block?!

Unauthorized Party block?!

My mother, 2 aunts, and an uncle are coming to visit me here in Virginia. I tried to book a whole house for 4 elderly adults. I was flagged as a party risk! Not sure what kind of party 4 almost 80 year old adults are going to have! I guess, one where the Metamucil is free flowing and the prunes are on deck?! How can this be overridden? I don't think it is fair to deny my elderly relatives a comfortable and spacious place to stay. How can this be resolved?

Hi @Heather1995 , As Mike mentioned , to help maintain transparency and trust with the Hosts, you can’t book on the guests behalf unless you're staying together. You can read more about it here : 👉 Booking for friends and family 👈

Additionally, there's an article that can help with more information about👉how and why Airbnb screens for potential party risk

👈

Have you considered completing the booking process by asking the relatives to try and book the stay — who will ultimately be staying at the listing?

@Heather1995 There is an additional issue in that you are trying to create a third party booking which is not allowed. To get around your issue the host needs t change the listing to 'private room' and then you book it and then they change it back. Of course the host may not be willing to do so.
