Vegan/Vegetarian Airbnb

I travel and I would like to STAY at an Airbnb with a vegan/vegetarian kitchen.  I don't understand why that is difficult for air BnB to understand.  I don't want to smell animals, chickens or fish being cooked and I don't want to use pans and utensils that have touched dead creari.  It's the equivalent of keeping a kosher kitchen.

There is a new thread outside of Airbnb for vegans to post to help each other, and there is a website called vegvisits to consider, since Airbnb doesn't understand.

Thanks for your reply, and Alicia too.  I have brought this up with Airbnb, and the answers I get, as well as the answers they have given to others, shows they don't get it. I will try again.

Besides vegan/veggie filter, they could help others if they had a filter for halal and for kosher.

A simple filter if the host identifies as male/female/prefer not to say would make searches easier for guests too.

But I suggest people try vegvisits and local vegan sites because as airbnb is so unaccommodating.

Thanks for understanding what I'm talking about.

Hi Janet,

Airbnb currently does not offer functionality to filter for vegan or vegetarian kitchens, which can make it challenging to find accommodations that align with those preferences. The best course of action is to share your feedback directly with Airbnb support.

Suggesting the addition of a vegan/vegetarian-friendly kitchen filter could help improve the platform's inclusivity and address the needs of travelers with similar concerns.

You can also use their feedback form:

I hope this helps.

All the best,
