Weekly Discount & Custom Promotion

Hi

can someone tell me if there’s a way where I can block my weekly or monthly discount from overlapping with my custom promotion. 

for example : if I’m running a custom promotion from x date to y date, the customer / guest should either avail the custom promotion 

or the weekly / monthly discount, not both. 
I want to run custom promotions for shorter durations to encourage bookings. 

please advise.

A custom promotion prioritizes over a lenght of stay discount.

But if set in a rule, it always applies first.
