What actually happens if not paying when wrongfully held accountable?

Hi!

Some days after rating eachother the host sent a claim of around 100euro for extra cleaning because we, according to him, SMOKED inside the room. Neither me or my partner ever ever ever smoke, and we were on vacation with our 5 months old baby. So we know we are innocent here, obviously, and it feels humiliating and absurd.  Like we are in some kind of set up or scam. The hosts "proof" is photos of "ashes" (dust) and a cigarette on the floor. We have suggested it might have come in with a shoe or a stroller wheel or the wind or the cleaners but Airbnb chooses his side. And of course I cant send pictures of our...clean lungs or whatever would be proving our side.

First time I used Airbnb and I know it will also be the last, so I don't care about rating and such things. It just doesn't feel safe anymore to use Airbnb. Can I not pay? Or can they draw the money from my account somehow?

Have you disputed the claim with the information you provided here @Sara-Simon0

Hi! Yes I did, and they lowered the claim 10euro. Now I send in a new dispute but as I couldn't add any new info or proof other than "this is how I think it happened" and "none of us are smokers, it's impossible that we caused this" I don't have so much hope.
