Does any host ever got soiled towels with this type of stains? I tried soap and bleach multiple times but it doesn't come off. Pictures have same stain but one is close-up, other doesn't. It's between yellow and orange and not big patches all over the towels, but just spots.
Any ideas how to remove them?
Try nail remover, wild guess.. maybe it’ some nail lack or nail gel?
Why don’t you ask your guest?
Yeah, I suppose I should. I thought I was able to figure it out first. Sometimes if it's a large group, the person that booked might not know what it is either because he/she was not the one that stained it. But I will next time I see it again. I keep seeing it from time to time. What I hate the most is glue in general or super glue specifically. Why in the world people bring glue to bed, I have no idea, but some people do.
Next I hate is ball-point-pen marks.
@Lana772 It must be some type of make-up. Next time you could try hydrogen peroxide and wash first in cold water, see if that makes a difference. Also, a spot remover like Shout+hot water. Always try cold water first though. If you've already washed these towels w/bleach, the stain, whatever it is, may be set now.
@Lana772 The quality of towels really does make a difference. Some cheaper materials absorb stains so quickly and it can be impossible to get them out. However, about a year ago another host on this forum recommended this product for EVERYTHING. It seems weird but I keep a bottle of this on hand for every stain I encounter. Whether it be on clothes, sheets, towels, rugs, couch cushions, any soft service. It can be found in the pet aisle at any big box store.
My aunt swore by this stuff and I started using it It gets out everything I put it on . Including oil stains, red wine, blood, and whatever other weird stuff ends up on bedding, clothing, and other linen.
Pollen?
Could it be rust?
