What to do when items are stolen

Hi. Not a big deal but a decor pillow and roku remote were stolen from the property. It makes me wonder what if they steal a TV or something.  I was reading posts here from the community and read where a guest stole a laptop that belonged to the property owner. The laptop was there for the guest to use but they stole it. What does Airbnb do? What would you have done if you were me? Report the stolen pillow and remote ? Next time it could be something more expensive!

@Maricella2 Any host that leaves a laptop is just asking for trouble. If you are going to claim then leave a review quickly and hope they review you before the 14 day claim window closes otherwise any claim will guarantee a bad review that you may or may not be able to get deleted under the revenge review policy.

Do check the remote has not slipped down the side of the sofa though.....

Hi Mike & Jane. I checked every spot . No remote or pillow. Honestly it's OK, not expensive to replace.  But had me wondering what if something more expensive gets stolen. Makes you not want to make your place look nice with nice decor if it's gonna get stolen . Good point about the laptop.
