This is a very serious and very dumb oversite on the app developers that needs to be fixed ASAP. When someone messages me with what is clearly spam (such as an inquiry, but are really soliciting to sell cleaning services), I do not reply. I report & block. I've done this a few times, but then I get constant emails and notifications to reply to the inquiry or I will be effected negatively. Are you kidding me? How long has Airbnb been around now and how big is it that this is something they haven't already addressed? There is no way for me to know if this hasn't already hurt my response rate. This last spam message, I blocked the user as well, then in order to "respond" to the *non-inquiry*, I had to unblock them, then message them "No", then re-block them.
Airbnb app developers, please fix this immediately.
