can no longer search by "unique stays"

This used to be a huge reason I would use AirBNB but I can no longer find unique stays.  They've added "curated categories" but the UI for searching in those categories is pretty broken.

I used to be able to see what they unique stay types available were in a given area.

Then I could select the unique stay types I was interesting in, e.g. cabin, barn, and ranch but not boat or yurt.

Then it would tell me how many listings met my criteria.

And then I got a tightly filtered list of search results.

This was really useful for finding cool places to stay.  Alas, the "big redesign" seems to have done away with this.  I feel for you hosts who have properties that are no longer findable.

I've submitted feedback but I'm always cynical as to whether that gets back to the right people.  If you have any resource to enter bugs or comments, please do so.  Thanks.

@Dennis732  ever since the summer release hosts and guests keep complaining about how broken and confusing these categories are. But it seems we are stuck with them for another 1-2 years or so... until ABB decides to replace them with something new (not necessarily better)

The best place to give a feedback is in fact here on CC

Thanks Branka. I just filled out a survey giving the community members (you) high marks but continuing to lament the loss of "unique stays".  Besides being an avid user of it,  it was the single thing I most often talked up about AirBNB with folks.

I had an AirBNB support guy walk me thru how to approximate the "unique stay" search using the current UI but I didn't write it down.  Do any of you know how it works?  It's something related to using that little toolbar up top and making it persist onto your search but I don't remember the exact clicks.  It was non-obvious because it's not represented in the UI.

@Dennis732 I am so shocked that this is the only post about this.  I have been hoping the unique stays would come back or there would be an alternative obvious search.  Have you had any luck?
