Hello Emilie,
My name is Sabrina, and I am experiencing the same problem. To clarify further, the listings are active in the exact dates selected. There is no explanation about a length requirement, and I am trying to book for a week in February (which feels like it would be long enough for a minimum requirement). I have tried to book at three different listings, with three different hosts, at properties in different parts of the island. Airbnb allows me to make the request, accepts my payment (but doesn’t charge yet), and says the host has 24 hours to respond. After waiting nearly a day each time, I received the following message:
“The property is not available at this time. The inventory changes daily, so if anything becomes available, I will circle back.”
Two hosts sent the exact same message, the other responded with “I’m so sorry, it isn’t available .”
After the first time this happened, I followed up with the other two hosts and asked for clarification because I’ve never had an issue with Airbnb, and I only have 5 star reviews, so I couldn’t understand. No one has responded.
Like the original poster, I am getting very frustrated and looking towards Vrbo or hotel options because this is getting frustrating as it’s
wasting my time, day after day, looking up different accommodations that work, just to be repeatedly denied.
I would love more information about why this is happening, and a way to solve this problem. Thank you for your help.
Sabrina
