@Peter-and-Ruth1,

The CDC recommends that a person wait at least 24 hours before entering the room after the departure of a person who is suspected of having the coronavirus/COVID-19. I do recommend that you check with NHS to see if there are different guidelines for the UK.

Hi all, I'm not sure about the UK's or CDS's official guidelines, but we are based in Spain and we personally decided to go with a 48-hour window. In case anyone's interested, here's the breakdown:
1/ The day of check-out, nobody enters.

2/ The next day, the property undergoes a professional and certified disinfection treatment (needs a 12-hour window before anyone can re-enter property).

3/ The day after that, our cleaning crew goes in for full and comprehensive cleaning.

4/ Then guests can check-in the next day.

The way I've managed it on the calendar is to simply block TWO days before and after every stay. For new bookings, I've adjusted the lead/preparation time I need for each new booking. So any bookings we receive from this point forward, Airbnb will automatically block two days before and after. Hope that helps. Good luck everyone! Best...Rita

@Rita587,

It looks like you have a well thought out plan.  Let us know how it works for you.

@Rita587  Except according to all the information I have read, disinfecting before cleaning is pointless. Surfaces must be cleaned before disinfecting, not after. Disinfecting does not work on unclean surfaces. I think your 48 hour block is good, but your cleaning/disinfecting plan is backwards.
